Squeeze them in
Written by Nina Grunfeld Saturday, 26 November 2011 08:33
I don't know about you, but when I worry it feels like my brain is being so squeezed full of worries that it will explode - a bit like the 'how many people can you fit in a mini', only instead it's 'how many worries can you fit in a brain'.
Last night was like that. Each worry was fighting to get in by bringing itself to the fore and demanding to be heard.
There's a lot of change happening in my life and, like a lot of people, I'm not sure how good I feel about dealing with it. Each change presented itself to me and made me spend some time on it. I had one of those nights with fitful sleep and have woken up feeling unrested and tense.
Luckily we're doing our Sorted workshop this week, so I'm going to write all my worries down this morning and deal with them one by one.
I can already imagine them stepping out of the mini and I'm starting to feel I can breathe again.
Let's make rule one, don't focus on worries at night.
I'll see you this week for the rest of the rules.
Best wishes,
Nina
